«That’s clean business»

Barbara Achermann about Remei’s complete supply chain transparency in the current issue of Die Zeit.

In the context of the demand of the Swiss corporate responsibility initiative for complete supply chain transparency, Die Zeit reports that a total control of supply chains is not yet realistic for most Swiss companies today, and mentions in the same article that Remei produces textile collections made of organic cotton already 100% transparently for national and international trading partners.

Supply chain transparency

“Anyone buying a Naturaline T-shirt at Coop today will find a tracking code on the label. It was created by the company Remei from Rotkreuz, which produces fair trade fashion on behalf of the major distributor. When the code is entered on a website, a world map appears on which the entire supply chain of the piece can be tracked: from the GMO-free cotton from Tanzania to the sewing factory of Well Knit Industries in India. That’s clean business.”
